Grizzco Industries is a company featured in Splatoon 2 and Splatoon 3. The head of the company, Mr. Grizz, recruits Inklings and Octolings to participate in Salmon Runs, which take place every 70 years. In this mode, players must collect Power Eggs and Golden Eggs from the Salmonids they splat. By collecting Golden Eggs, Inklings are granted rewards. As of Splatoon 3, Grizzco is now always open. But in Splatoon 2, that is not the case, which means that the player must find the right time to do their job. You can check the Stages to see when Grizzco is hiring in Splatoon 2. The Grizzco office is located behind where Marie is seen to lead players to Octo Canyon to play the Hero Mode. Make sure to check back often to see if the office is open to take on Salmon Runs. Also, if Mr. Grizz is hiring, a paid advertisement for the Salmon Runs will be shown at the end of Off the Hook's broadcast along with the month's gear when the game starts up after they show the maps for all the game modes, or the maps if it is during a Splatfest. All four players who participate in Salmon Runs use orange, pink, or purple-colored Ink and clothing.

It should be noted that, as revealed in Splatoon's 3 story mode, Grizzco is revealed to be a front for the grizzly antagonist to help fund and develop his Fuzzy Ooze Project, which he puts into motion within the depths of Alterna.

During wildcard rotations, one or more of Mr. Grizz's personal weapons are accidentally added to the mix. Grizzco weapons are tweaked versions of normal weapons with much more powerful stats. The following weapons have been available:

As stated by Live from Squid Research Lab, these weapons belong to Mr. Grizz, who issued a statement asking workers not to steal it or alert the media to its existence, under threat of immediate termination of their employment. This may indicate that the weapons are produced illegally.

Trivia[]

  • The names "Grizzco", "Mr. Grizz", and the shape of the Company's logo are based on the Grizzly Bear, a predator of the Salmon Fish and the true identity of the founding CEO. Mr. Grizz can also be heard through a radio statue of a bear with a salmon in its mouth.
    • It may imply that it's a statue of Mr. Grizz himself.
    • Upon defeating Mr. Grizz, the radio is replaced with that of a salmon with a small bear in its maw, referencing the battle at the end of the Return Of The Mammalians.
  • The Power Egg balloon in Hero Mode resembles, if it is not indeed, Grizzco's logo.
  • If you get team-wiped or time runs out, Mr. Grizz will give tips on playing and defeating Boss Salmonids.
  • Some speculate that Li'l Judd has taken over Grizzco soon after the events of "The Return of the Mammalians", as indicated by his radio headset that he wore upon the completion of the single player campaign.
